Banned Book Week 2011

September 24 through October first is Banned Book Week.

The books on the list never cease to amaze me: Harry Potter, Gone With the Wind, Lord of the Flies, James & the Giant Peach, just to name a few. Here’s Wikipedia’s Most Challenged Book list in the United States.

To celebrate, I’m picking a book from the list and reading it. My choice was a reread of Go Ask Alice. I haven’t read it since High School, but in light of Don’t Fear the Reaper‘s release this week, I find it somewhat fitting.

How about you? What’s on your list this week?
